While Finn Juhl is known for bringing danish modern furniture to the american market, his skills extended far beyond furniture, from architecture to homewares.
Juhl designed the Circle Bowl in 1954. The owl has been designed with geometric precision, to create the illusion of an ellipse when viewed from the side. When the bowl is viewed from above, the bowl is revealed to be two perfect concentric circles.
Made from polished stainless steel, the bowl is reflective from all angles, so it looks just as beautiful as a fruitbowl, serving platter, or as an ornamental object.
This classic scandinavian design has been put into production for the first time in 2010 by Architectmade.
