Released in 1963, the USM Haller is a design classic and the flagship product of Swiss company USM Modular Furniture.
Like Lego blocks, each discreet unit comes in a number of colours and styles and can be fit together to form any variety of shapes and configurations.
Architect Fritz Haller was commissioned to redesign the USM building by Paul Schearer so it could accomodate both the factory and have plenty of room for administrative offices. Haller would create the pioneering system to fit out the open plan offices. It proved so successful, that it became a core company product and made it’s way into offices around the world.
Today the USM Haller system is seen in homes as often as it is offices. It’s still available today from the original manufacturer USM Modular Furniture.
