Issey Miyake is Japan’s most celebrated fashion designer. His work is almost sculptural, contouring material around the human form in innovative ways.
If a fashion designer could bridge the gap to industrial design, Issey would top most people’s lists… he was also apparently top of Iittala’s list.
The Issey Miyake vase is part of the Pause For Harmony range, which is a collaboration between Miyake and Iittala. In development for over four years, the vase’s fine lines and minimal design is common to the best of both Japanese and Scandinavian design.
Launched this week at Stockholm design week 2016 sdw, Its the perfect place to put that valentines day rose. Available globally from iittala in #2016.
