The Dalia Chair is named after the flower which is has a passing resemblance to. Personally we think the marketing team missed a trick here and it looks far more mischievous and diabolical than the name suggests. With it’s front silhouette resembling a horned head, perhaps the Diablo Chair would be a more fitting name.
This quirky contemporary chair was created by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders in 2013. One of the things we love about Wander’s work is that he’s not afraid to incorporate a sense of humour into his design. The broad base and small back give the Dalia a childlike, playful quality which is a running theme in much of his work.
The Dalia is available from Italian manufacturer, Cappellini.
