Whilst most people will see a beautiful pendant light, others will see precision mathematics. Every surface is struck by light at the exact same angle to create a warm even glow without harsh glare.
Designer Poul Henningsen grew up in a gas-lit town at the turn of the century and tried to replicate the soft warm glow from his childhood in his PH series.
The PH Snowball pendant was released in 1924 and some consider it a smaller version of the PH Louvre which lights the Adventist Church in Skosborg. This Danish classic is available through Louis Poulsen.
