When Finnish legend Tapio Wirkkala wasn’t designing bank notes or furniture, he devoted a good deal of his time to beautiful glassware.
Inspired by nature, this vase is based on the form of the Chanterelle mushroom. Mould blown with delicate line cuts, the chanterelle sprung up in 1947 to an admiring public. Nearly seventy years later, manufacturer iittala still produces this modern masterpiece.
