New wave Table lamp
Verner Panton designed the New Wave table lamp in 1970. Panton enjoyed experimenting with materials, to find their limit. The mushroom like form was created as a collaboration between Panton and danish glass manufacturer Holmegaard. Whilst it took great effort to manufacture the iconic form in the 70s, the process is far easier now, using modern glasswork techniques.
The lamp is made of white opalised glass, which encases two globes that provide an ambient light. Available from Verpan.
