Artist Henning Koppel is well known for his lifelong collaboration with Georg Jensen, which began in 1946, when he was 27 years old. Koppel’s flowing sculptural forms helped create the modern Scandinavian design aesthetic that we know today.
The shape of the BUBI lamp was inspired while Koppel was sketching a hat worn by his grandson. Featuring a curved chrome top and an acylic diffuser, the light shows graceful lines similar to Koppel’s famous fish dish. This classic danish light designed in 1972, was was re-released by Pandul in 2010.
