They say that Elephants never forget, and fortunately thanks to global renewed interest, the works of Danish designer – Kay Bojesen have not been forgotten.
Kay Bojesen needs no introduction to the initiated. For those new to modern Scandinavian design, Bojesen was a silversmith (of Georg Jensen lineage) who shifted professions, creating wooden toys when he first became a father.
Elephant was created in 1953 when Kay’s toy workshop was well established. As is the case with all his wooden toys, the elephant is highly moveable creating a variety of poses and expressions. It’s available today from the company named after the man himself – Kay Bojesen.
