In 1969 the future was in space. The whole world watched with bated breath as years of research, planning and development would culminate in the Apollo missions launching man to the moon. Such was the hype that designers of that era were looking to a bold new future amongst the stars… it was the spaceage.
Verner Panton created the chrome ” Ball Typ H” Pendant lamp in that year. With bubbles suspended in the shape of a sphere, in a diameter of 44cm, the ball light is an iconic piece of space age design. Sadly, none of these have made it into space yet, but we’re sure it would look beautiful amongst the #decor of the International Space Station.
